The Path

There is a start and a finish
We often join half way through
And leave before it is finished
You can walk the path alone
Or bring a friend along
Others will have gone before
And many will follow after
Time passes quickly when you are on the path with friends
And a journey can seem to take forever when you are alone
Enjoy the path you're on
Looking to the right and left
See the sights and smells
The colours and the sounds
Sometimes you know the direction
Other times you're not quite so sure
We cant see around the corner
But the path still caries on
Every step you take brings you a little closer
Right then left then right
When you're younger this is hard as it's new
Now you're older we do it without thinking
Right then left, right then left
The final destination
Is sometimes known
but it is the reason
you're on the path
so enjoy the journey as you pass
